How This Place Began

The Crafty Homestead came about by accident.

Between 2018 and 2023, life brought seasons of loss and significant change. During that time, peace felt hard to come by. In 2023, I returned to gardening after years away - not with a big plan, but with a need for something grounding.

Working with my hands became a way to breathe again.
The garden led to the kitchen.
The kitchen led to crafting.
And eventually, those practices led to designing systems and tools that made everyday life feel more livable.

What started as a quiet return to making grew into The Crafty Homestead.
